The School Board is providing an update on how we will navigate the current Covid-19 Health Orders’ environment. We are developing plans to ensure our classes are staffed appropriately, and student learning can continue through to the end of the year. This is a difficult time for us all, and in spite of our circumstance we must continue to lean into our God for strength and peace. Jesus showed us what the Kingdom holds, and that His love for us all is never-ending. This is a time that, despite our differences, we must remember, and show, that we are all children of God and our strength is in unity through Christ. We thank you for your continued support and patience.
Our Duke of Edinburgh students successfully navigated their adventure to Cape Brett and back. It was a long walk, however they all handled the tramp well and enjoyed a good sleep at the hut. The spectacular views, local wildlife and camaraderie made this a memorable experience for our students as they complete their Bronze requirements.
We have two weeks left until NCEA exams begin for most of our senior students. They continue to use their preparation time well and are in good heart as they approach the exam season.
Thank you to our parents for their safety-minded driving in our carpark. It is a busy place after school, and we appreciate the way you are being patient in the line of vehicles we have down our driveway. The flow of cars works well, with students being picked up from the space along from the Whare. This keeps children safe as they wait along the path. Please remember that if you exit your car and come to the office, or to a Year 1 or 2 class to pick up a child you need to wear a face covering.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4: 6-7 (NASB)
