The school presents a number of awards annually which students should set as goals and determine to work towards. These should be seen as part of the motivation for students.
Scripture Memory
For those students who complete all Scripture memory passages for the year. Badge and year bar when completed for the first time, bar each year after that. Certificate for students who have completed all, but not been at school for a whole year.
Walsh Scripture Memory Trophy
For memorising a book of the Bible.
Music Award
Excellence in the subject, with input into the school using music ability.
Chambers Cup of Worship
This is a very special cup given to the person who demonstrates the following attributes:
- have a heart to serve in music
- demonstrate they are up-skilling in the gift God has given them
- show worship leadership ability and/or potential
- show initiative to encourage others in their music giftings
- display active participation in the leading of worship in school and outside of school such as their church
Art Award
Excellence in the subject, with input into the school using art ability.
Sports Awards
Service to Sport
An individual who has committed time and effort to help grow a sport, or sports at Excellere College.
The Samantha Hanmore & Family Netball Trophy
The player who demonstrates a pursuit for excellence in netball in terms of personal ability, while also serving her team and being a role model of fair play.
Sportsmanship
Excellence both in representing the school, both in ability and attitude.
Sportsman
Sporting male who has demonstrated excellence in sporting endeavours, both for the school, as well as extra-curricular sporting events.
Sportswoman
Sporting female who has demonstrated excellence in sporting endeavours, both for the school, as well as extra-curricular sporting events.
Victor Ludorum
For top Athletics Athlete (male).
Victrix Ludorum
For top Athletics Athlete (female).
Specialist / Character Trophies
Service Award
For a student who demonstrates a heart to serve others in the community.
Service to the Library
Respectfulness
For the student who unfailingly demonstrates respect to other students, staff and to property.
Compassion
For the student who is consistently compassionate and caring towards others.
Integrity
Awarded to the student who is dependable and reliable regardless of whether or not others are watching.
Friendship
Given to the student who can be counted on to befriend and minister to others.
Diligence Award
For the student who demonstrates diligence in work and in character.
Spiritual Endeavour
For a student who displays a heart after God, but still needs to work on other areas of their life.
Spiritual Excellence
Given to a student who displays consistent and strong Godly living in attitudes and approach to life.
Leadership Award
Awarded to the student who demonstrates Christ-like character at school and at home and is a role model for other students.
Gough Family ‘Overcomers’ Award
Presented by A Gough family member yearly
Criteria:
- For the student who has overcome regardless of circumstances
- For achieving, at their level , despite significant life challenges
- Available to any child at any year level.
